About Logging Buckets

Logging buckets contain recorded information in hours, dates, and counts to fairly distribute working opportunities.

Buckets store working opportunity transactions and have period parameters used to segment the transactions.

Multiple Buckets can be created to store different types of data such as, Overtime, Out Of Class, Mandatory, Special Events, and so on.

Buckets can store the same information but segment and process it differently.

For example, two Overtime buckets could be created with separate periods and behaviors to fairly distribute overtime. The first bucket captures all and any overtime hours worked historically and could be used as the primary sort. The second bucket captures overtime hours worked greater than 4 hours and segments and totals the hours for the past 30 days. The second bucket could be used as a secondary sort, essentially the tiebreaker or vice versa.
