Logging Behavior Field Descriptions

Field Name Behavior Field Description
Name Long Name.
Bucket Contains the configured Logging Buckets.
Avoid logging if greater than (>) The application will not log to the corresponding bucket if the opportunity is more than this number of hours in the future.
Log partial count if less than (<) (ex: 6,0.25;12,0.5) If the number of hours worked is less than this number, a partial count is charged rather than a full count. Separating each partial count with a semicolon creates partials.
Log only if greater than or equal to (>=) The number entered in this field determines at what point logging begins.
and less than (< ) The number entered in this field determines when logging stops: once the hours have exceeded this amount.
Log only if accumulated total is greater than or equal to (>= )_ The number entered in this field logs only when the specific number of hours worked is reached.
Carry excess This option is only valid if the Log if accumulated total >= __ field is used.
  • Yes - Adds excess hours (over and beyond the accumulation threshold) to the new balance but does not display it. Yes adds excess hours to the new balance and keeps the running tally hidden until the threshold is reached. For example, a logging threshold is eight hours. A person works seven hours and then receives another six-hour opportunity. The first eight hours (of 13) between the two opportunities cause them to be charged and moved down the Pick List. The remaining five hours would carry over to the new balance. The five hours are not displayed or used to sort until they are added to the balance the next time the person is charged.

  • No - Exclude excess accumulated hours in the new balance. No starts a new balance of hours each time the threshold is reached.

  • Yes/display - Include excess accumulated hours in total, display the excess, and use immediately when sorting candidates on the pick list. Yes w/display adds excess hours to the new balance and displays the running tally when the excess in hours are due to the last opportunity in the Pick List or Fill By Rules screen.

Note:

When testing between Carry Excess options you must recalculate the corresponding bucket, log out, and log in.

Subtract contributions Select to convert the behavior to subtract from a bucket rather than add to a bucket.
Unique Identifier The application Internal ID.
