Logging Bucket Field Descriptions

Bucket Field Name Description
Name Long Name.
Period Start The start date of a logging period for the purpose of segmenting a period of time. Typically, this is the first day of a calendar or fiscal year. For example, suppose every year the bucket of overtime hours to be counted for overtime resets to zero hours on June 1st for each employee. If so, the Period Start would be June 1st.
Note:

The period start does not control the visibility of a record, for example if the period start is set to June 1, 2000, and overtime is added on March 25, 1952 that overtime record will exist in the application and will be visible in that person’s Logging tab. Whether or not that record counts in the hiring strategy depends on the configuration of the business rules.

Period* The defined duration of a logging period in months or days. Default is Month. Choices are:
  • Days
  • Months
An organization tracks opportunities from January 1st, to June 30th. Overtime (OT) hours are zeroed out on July 1st. The period is 6 months. This application looks at the hours in the 6 month interval to order the candidates on an overtime list (by the total number of hours they worked OT within the 6 month period). The staff member history is still available in the system, but the application only focuses on the Logging Period when prioritizing candidates on a list.
Recalculate The Recalculate button is used to recalculate all logged information when there has been a change to the logging period or the Logging Behavior.
Unique Identifier The application Internal ID.
