Auto-Hire Modes

Auto Hire modes are differing methods to prioritize and process the vacancies delivered to the Contact Manager (CM) by the application.

Once the application prioritizes the vacancies and delivers them to the CM, the CM then uses one of these three Auto Hire Modes (with or without multiple offers checked) to establish the priority of each call before making final delivery to the Line Manager (LM) to make the call. Choices are:

Blueprint Information: Only the List mode supports Blueprints, Stack or Priority auto-hire modes since Fill-Priority functionality is not applicable to Blueprints. For reference, auto-hire modes offer vacant jobs to people. The vacant position is the primary target, this means the position is offered to the most qualified candidate or candidates depending on the rule configuration. Blueprints via job allocation, however, target the person and the application schedules (not offers) the person to the job using the job allocation tool. Using auto-hire to fill blueprint jobs, however, does not utilize the job allocation tool, this means auto-hire targets vacant jobs and offers the jobs to the most qualified candidates using the auto-hire List mode.

list

The List option runs all the rules for all non reserved records. On each refresh cycle, all opportunities are sent. A candidate may be called more than once for differing opportunities. This method has the least likelihood of preserving priority and will fill the fastest of all the methods. This option utilizes the phones the most. One vacancy will not hold up the entire hiring process. This process has the highest likelihood to overbook in minimum staffing modes. The List mode supports Blueprints as of application version 7.2, and backward compatible with TeleStaff application version 1.41.

List Method Multiple Offer Checked: Same as the List method, however Auto-Hire will also check the remaining vacancies to find if the candidates for the targeted vacancies qualify for other vacancies. If so, the candidates are offered all opportunities available to them at that moment in time.

Stack

The Stack option honors the fill-order only.1 Working on the highest priority, lowest fill order opportunity. The first vacancy with the highest priority will be the only opportunity worked on until it is filled or expires. Rules will only be run for this opportunity. This method has the highest likelihood to preserve priority; however, phones will not be fully utilized and it is possible one vacancy could hold up the entire staffing process.

Note:

If the server has multiple phone lines only one will be utilized. This method works best with minimum staffing and when fill-priority matters.

Stack Method with Multiple Offer Checked - Same as the Stack method where only the highest priority vacancy is considered; however Auto Hire will also check the remaining vacancies to find if the candidate for the targeted vacancy qualifies for other vacancies. If so, the candidate is offered all opportunities available. Only one person is contacted in this method. Once the top candidate Accepts, Rejects or allows the offer to expire, the application will move to another candidate where it will again check the remaining vacancies to find if the candidate qualifies for other vacancies. This may break the fill- priority and minimum staffing rules because the top candidate may accept an offer that is not a necessity or of high-priority which would disqualify the person for the original vacancy that was of higher priority.

Note:

If an entry is the target and it is Auto- Assign then the application will fill the position without sending to the LM. If an entry is not the target, but is an auto assign AND flagged as auto hire, the application will send it to the LM for multiple offer consideration but it will not auto assign until it is the target.

Priority

The Priority option works on the first vacancy with the highest priority.2 When this option is selected, the application will move to the next opportunity but with every refresh rate in the Contact Manager the application will return to the top or first vacancy with the highest fill priority order number and will attempt to fill that vacancy before moving further down the entire list of vacancies. Unlike the stack method, it will move to the next entry on the next refresh and run the rules if there is no work to be done on the higher fill priority entry. This method has a medium likelihood to preserve priority, but will fill a vacancy faster than the stack method. More phone lines when applicable will also be utilized than the stack method. The application will use more than one phone line because it could potentially be calling out for more than one person - and one vacancy will not hold up the entire hiring process.

Priority Method w/ Multiple Offer Checked: Same as the Priority method, however Auto Hire will also check the remaining vacancies to see if the candidates for the targeted vacancies qualify for other vacancies. If so, the candidates are offered all opportunities available to them.

1 Stack mode does not support Blueprints since Fill Priority functionality is not applicable to Blueprints.
2 Priority mode does not support Blueprints since Fill Priority functionality is not applicable to Blueprints.
