Configure Basic Work Codes

Review Work Code concepts and reference topics.

To edit or create a work code:

  1. Go to Setup > Codes > Work Codes
  2. Select an existing work code to edit or click Add to create a new work code.
  3. Enter a name, an abbreviation, and select a color.
  4. Configure the Work Code General section:
    The table below shows typical work code Properties settings for each type. Additional or less settings may be required to produce the desired output. The system automatically populates the Properties settings upon selecting a type- you may change the suggested settings if desired. (X = Selection):

  5. Configure the Issues section, if applicable to this code.
  6. Configure the Logging section, if applicable to this code.
  7. Configure the Authority section.
  8. Click Save.
