The Appears on the Roster check box located in the person Assignment tab controls assignment visibility on the Roster without compromising security permission settings.
Use the Appears on the Roster check box to hide the person’s assignment on the Roster and retain system security access levels intact.
For example, an IT resource may not need their assignment displayed on the Roster but may require full control of the system or may need to enter time-off or time-earned requests or both. If this is the case, clear the check box. The Appears on the Roster check box is selected by default.
A clear Appears on the Roster check box does not prevent users from making Time requests if they have the authority to add requests. These requests are visible on the Roster and Calendar and become records when approved.
