About Extended Exceptions (FMLA)

The Override Assignment Work Code area in the person’s Assignment tab is used to automatically override a person’s regular duty work code on the Roster with a different work code for an extended period of time. This feature is used when a person is on leave and their workday status on the Roster is uncertain due to external factors, such as military leave, maternity leave, light duty, FMLA, disability, and so on.

There are two ways to handle long-term exceptions using the Override Assignment Work Code feature:
