Skills

The Skills table displays skills assigned to the person.
Field Name Profile Field Description
Skills Displays a list of Skills as configured in Setup > General > Specialty. To assign a skill, click Add and select the skill. Assigning a skill indicates the person has the specialty and this application may prevent the person from trading their shift with someone who does not have the same as or equivalent skill; see Not in Assignment setting below.
Not in Assignment Used to indicate the person has the selected specialty and this specialty for this person does not affect shift trades, which means this person may trade with someone who does not have the selected specialty. For example:
  • Critical Cover specialties do not match.
  • Critical assigned specialties not met.
  • Critical assigned specialties not met exactly.
Proficiency Level Used to indicate a value for the selected skill to an additional level of distinction amongst people who have the same specialties. Also, used as a tie-breaker when qualifying people to fill positions. This is an optional field. Format: Integer, Limit: +/-32MM
Note:

Use of the value ANY in Dimensions will set the value as blank in this application.

Status Used to indicate whether the skill is active or inactive. If this option is selected with no effective date defined then this skill is always active.
Effective Date Used to indicate the start date this skill becomes active for the person and other areas of the application that query Skills, such as People Filter, and Rules.Format: mm/dd/yyyy

Certifications

Field Name Profile Field Description
Certification Displays a list of Certifications as configured in Setup > General > Specialty. To assign a certification, click Add and select the certification. Assigning a certification indicates the person has the specialty and this application may prevent the person from trading their shift with someone who does not have the same as or equivalent certification; see Not in Assignment setting below.
Not in Assignment Select to indicates the person has the specialty; but the selected specialty for this person does not affect shift trades; this person may trade with someone who does not have the selected specialty. For example:
  • Critical Cover specialties do not match.
  • Critical assigned specialties not met.
  • Critical assigned specialties not met exactly.
Proficiency Level Used to indicate a value for the selected certification and add an additional layer of distinction amongst people who have the same certification. Also, used as a tie-breaker when qualifying people to fill positions. This is an optional field. Format: Integer, Limit: +/-32MM
Note:

Use of the value ANY in Dimensions will set the value as blank in this application.

Number Used to add a certificate reference number. Limit: 2000 Characters.
Effective Date (Grant Date) Used to indicate the start date this certification becomes active for the person and other areas of the application that query certifications, such as People Filter, Expiration Report, and Rules. If no effective date is defined then this certification is active through the Expiration Date definition. If neither the Effective Date nor the Expiration date are defined then this certifications is always active.This is an optional field. Format: mm/dd/yyyy.
Expiration Date Used to indicate the end date this certification becomes inactive for the person and other areas of the application that query certifications, such as People Filter, Expiration Report, and Rules. If no expiration date is defined then this certification is active as of the Effective Date. If neither the Effective Date nor the Expiration date are defined then this certifications is always active.This is an optional field. Format: mm/dd/yyyy.
