Resolve Institution Focus Shifts in Conflict

Manually assign the shift if you have varying timezones in Setup > Shifts. Use the Save and Assign function in Setup> System if you are not utilizing varying timezones. Note: Although shifts can be assigned at the Institution level of the organization, you may find the Shift area easier and quicker because in a typical configuration the number of shifts significantly exceed the number of institutions.

To assign shifts to an institution or institutions choices are:
- Auto-Assign- Use the Assign and Save feature to assign all of the shifts to all of the institutions. Best used in a single timezone environment.
- Manual Process - Use when varying timezones exist to set each shift in the appropriate institution. Use the Shifts area in Setup to perform this task.
When done, return to the System area, and select Institution Focus.
