About Roster Views in Setup

The Roster View area located in Setup is used to create roster views, control access to certain roster views, and to define the order in which those roster views appear.

The default views are enclosed in angle brackets < > such as, <full>.

Roster Views in the application determine the look and feel of the Roster. There are four default Roster Views to choose from. Additional custom Roster Views may be available if configured by the system administrator.

Custom Views created by your organization can be saved to the creator’s profile or shared across the organization. These views are enclosed in square brackets, for example, [North Zone].

Roster View options include:

Show Inline - Collapsed - displays the selected item to the right of, and on the same row as the preceding organizational level and items contained within are collapsed.
<compact> - a compact view that displays the people on the Roster by Unit and Position.
<full>- a full view that sorts the information on the roster by the organizational hierarchy of Agency and Region, then by Shift. Within each Shift, people are sorted by Station, Unit, and Position.
<full w/hc> - displays the Full view of the Roster, followed by Head Counts sorted by Rank, Specialty and Can Act As.
<vacancies> - displays only vacancies.
User-defined - custom defined views

Note:

The Roster View order presented to a given user is the order in which the views appear in Setup minus any views for which that user is not authorized. System roster views, like <full> can not be deleted, but may be unauthorized.
