Configure a Count Example

You must have Setup: Roster authority to complete this task.

A department wants an alarm on Unit 1 if staffing drops below 4 people between the peak hours of 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. They do not need the alarm to trigger if staffing drops before or after peak hours.

  1. Go to Setup > Roster > Count Strategies > Count Groups > Counts.
  2. In Counts, click Add New Count
  3. In General > Name > enter a label for this count
  4. In Target > Pre-filter select Unit and Check Unit 1
  5. In Target > From, type 10:00:00
  6. In Target > For... Minutes, type 780
  7. In Alarm > Alarm if...Under, type 4
  8. In Alarm > Level, select Unit
  9. Attach the Count Strategy associated with this Count to all the positions identified in the Target. In this example all position in Unit 1 must have the same Count Strategy.
