Field Name | Rules ‘List Target’ Field Description |
---|---|
Name | List Target description. |
Suppress Assignment | Used to change the selected work code’s Suppress Assignment behavior as configured in Setup > Codes using Rules logic. This check box enables when work code type Regular Duty or Working are selected. When checked, the Suppress Assignment Vacancy check box enables. Use case: Using the same work code you can set List Target A for Group 1 people to not suppress the shift assignment, and List Target B for Group 2 people to suppress the shift assignment. |
Suppress Assignment Vacancy | Used to change the selected work code’s Suppress Vacancy behavior as configured in Setup > Codes using Rules logic. This check box enables when Suppress Assignment is checked. Select this check box to automatically suppress the shift assignment vacancy on the Roster when applying a nonworking type work code to this work code. Use Case: Using the same work code you can set List Target A for Group 1 people to not suppress the vacancy, and List Target B for Group 2 people to suppress the vacancy. |
Work Code | Displays all work codes. The List that utilizes this List Target assigns the selected work code to the candidate when they are staffed. |
Detail | Optional ten character field. If the work code requires a detail code when staffing, place the detail value in this field. Detail codes are used for Reporting and when required for exporting to Payroll. |
Note:
If you are considering using the Detail field, please consult with a Kronos application expert to see if there’s alternate and better solution. |
|
Rules | Rules are used to capture the minutest detail of your organization's staffing process. Rule usage type categories include: Qualified If, Unavailable If, and Sort Each category may have none, one, or more rules in it. If there are multiple rules within a List Target’s category, sort the rules with the highest numeric value at the bottom to lessen rule processing time. Important: The main purpose of a List Target is to qualify a specific group of candidates. The final filtering takes place in the List. |
Note:
It is uncommon to use the Unavailable if and Sort categories found in a List Target; if you are considering using these categories please consult with a Kronos application expert to review your options. |
|
Rule Behaviors | Rules are used in List Targets and Lists in different ways and their behavior depends on how the rule is used. |
Qualifying Limit | This field is required when there are Rules
with a Sort Usage Type in the List Target; otherwise, it is disabled.
Sorts are not normally used in a List Target; however, if a sort were
used, the maximum number of people returned by the List Target is
indicated here. The sort order from a List Target does NOT carry
through to the List.
Note:
The Qualifying Limit only applies to the sorted list of Qualified Candidates, regardless of their availability, so the number of Candidates returned may be less than this limit. |
