Blueprints are templates used to predefine product order scheduling requirements, such as jobs, job types, job count, order information, labels, customer specifications, and more. Blueprints are configured in Setup and available for deployment on the Planning board to readily fulfill production schedules with qualified unallocated resources.
Since production demands vary and are highly volatile on a weekly or day-to-day basis, Blueprint specifications can be modified as needed by instance on the Planning board, or at the blueprint (template) source in Setup. Blueprints are soft templates, this means some of the information pre-configured in Setup like jobs, notes, and staffing strategies - can be changed when deployed on the Planning board to fit the production order for that instance.
The Blueprints area displays all of the templates defined in the system. Each Blueprint contains three areas of configuration: General, Positions, and Security.
