Resolve an Auction with Rules

Resolve Auction functionality will automatically process the auction using Rules. The below steps are used to start the resolving process for the entire auction. Once started, this is a hand-off process. The bidding module will use defined rules and auction configuration properties to choose winners for all possible Auction Items. To resolve the Auction and secure auction items for the winners:

Go to the Bidding area.
Go to the Manage area of the applicable Auction.
In the Auction Item pane, click the Auction drop-down box to show the Resolve auction... option.
Click Resolve auction....
The Bid Management confirmation screen shows.
Review the details. This is the only screen where auction administrators can modify bid placements before submitting the bids for resolution.There is no auto undo. Once the resolve phase has completed awarding the auction items, these items are now visible outside the auction, such as the person’s assignment tab or calendar which would require manual intervention to remove those auction item records.
To confirm a bid, select the gray check mark, when selected the check mark turns green. To omit a bid from the resolving phase clear the check box so the check mark is gray in color.
Click OK to submit.
The Confirm Resolve popup message displays: This auction will be submitted to the Resolve Manager. Click OK to automatically resolve the auction using the Rules configured by your organization.
