Workforce Ready Person Import Column Descriptions

Important Message:
This is very important information because this application contains several ID fields, such as Employee ID, Payroll ID, Badge ID... The Employee ID field in WFR maps to the Employee ID field and Payroll ID field in this application. This means when you are importing data from WFR, that WFR Employee ID field will populate or override values in both the Employee ID field and the Payroll ID field in this application.

When integrating with Workforce Ready the Employee ID and the Payroll ID values must match. Preexisting customers who have differing values in the Employee ID and Payroll ID field, you must relocate the value that does not map to the WFR Employee ID field.

The interface is designed to import new personnel with the option to create profiles not maintain personnel profiles. The import manager expires the old profile and starts the new profile on the date the import was processed which may or may not correlate with the date and time of the vacancy. This application is a staffing solution and primarily used to staff current and future vacancies or jobs. As such, it is important to keep personnel profiles accurate for the purpose of staffing to prevent personnel from missing a working opportunity as a result of having the wrong profile active, or the wrong primary phone number set during the target date of the vacancy.

Object Property Home Institution

The Workforce Ready column format required for the import to insert the home institution for the person must be typed as follows:

Institution Abbrev.

Import Behavior

Object Property Rank (Cost Center)

The WFR Cost Center Abbrev. column must contain matching Job Title abbreviations; for example, BC=BC and bc=Bc (case insensitive). When importing new personnel a base profile will be created for the person using the job title specified in the Cost Center Abbrev. column. If a profile exists, then this application will expire the old profile one day before the target date of the import and starts the new profile on the date the import processed the record.

Object Property Contact Methods

Staffing Rules in this application globally target the contact methods in sequential order and based on timing, which means the opportunity’s time configured by customer business rules could expire before this application moves on to the next contact method. Most customers configure one primary contact for staffing to get through the list of candidates quicker. Therefore it is very important that the primary contact remains accurate in this application.

For example, if the import manager was used to insert new personnel only, and one of these new users supplies a new contact method for staffing purposes, this application will use the last primary contact supplied. If the Import Manager is then used to update that same person’s profile, the contact methods will change to Workforce Ready supplied contacts, that same person could miss a working opportunity due to a mismatch in primary contacts; this could result in an employee grievance if the employee was not informed to update their contacts in this application.
