Event Staffing is used to staff personnel outside of normally scheduled shifts and positions such as, sporting events, seasonal events, city work, private work, training events, meetings, festivals, parades and more.
Important: Event features and options have been extended over the years to better fit varying special event needs across multiple agencies. Knowing which option to implement can be challenging without understanding the purpose of each feature.
It is important to understand event staffing in this application in order to implement the best method for your organization. We recommend reading all Event Staffing and Special Event related sections before you begin to configure special event units.
To locate this feature on the Roster, go to any Unit, click the Unit to display the following options related to event staffing:
Deploy Unit- used to create an additional Unit on the Roster.
Edit Unit- used to edit any Unit on the Roster
Copy Unit- used to copy any Unit including scheduled personnel to another Roster day with or without using an Extra Unit (a.k.a. Backup Unit).
