Attachments are notes on the Roster and used to track or display equipment, supplies, text, and more.
Attachments are displayed on the Roster in the <Full> view by default and identifiable by the icon that looks like a paper clip. Clicking the paper clip shows the attachment. In application version 6.7, attachments were simplified with the addition of inline attachments. The icon that looks like a paper clip to the far right of the Roster opens inline attachments where you can quickly add, edit, remove attachments from the Roster. Additionally, custom roster views can be created to further control attachment visibility; for example, whether or not to show the paper clip (inline attachments) and whether or not to show attachment contents.
Attachments have three areas of configuration:
Attachment Category: used to categorize attachment types such as notes, miscellaneous items, as inventory.
Attachment Group: used to create templates and predefine attachment settings and corresponding behaviors.
Attachment: used to create static attachment notes within an Attachment Group and commonly used to create and track inventory items for that group, such as mobile devices, equipment, weapons, and vehicles.
Attachments can be assigned for a specific date or date range. Security permission settings control the ability to add or edit attachments.
