To configure a Notification Group:
- Go to Setup > General > Notification Groups
- Options are:
Edit: Select an existing Notification
Group and click Edit to modify an existing Notification Group.
Add: Click Add to create a new Notification Group.
Clone:
Select an existing Notification Group and click Clone to copy the selected
Notification Group.
- In Name, label your notification group something
meaningful, such as Adm VI, Supervisor II, Area 1, Group A, and
so on. Refrain from using a person’s name if possible.
- In People, select the people that will receive
a notification when a person assigned to this Notification Group
submits a request.
- Click Save.
- Go to Setup > Organizations... Notification Groups can
be assigned at all levels of the organization, meaning Institution,
Agency, Region... using the Notification Group setting.
The application will use the Notification Group found at
the lowest level of the Organization. For example if the Unit does
not define a Notification Group, then the application will check
the Station and work its way up the Organizational structure until
it finds a notification group.
- Click Save.
