Configure a Static Attachment

Review About Attachments, Attachment Group Field Descriptions, and Configure an Attachment Group; in the latter topic, note the different outcomes when applying attachment groups, such as Person level vs. the Position level - which is very important information for static attachments.

To create static attachments such as inventory items, equipment, phones, radios:

  1. Go to Setup > General > Attachments.
  2. Click the applicable category, followed by the applicable attachment group.
  3. Click Add attachment.
  4. In Name, type a name for this attachment.
  5. In Abbreviation, type an abbreviation for the attachment. Static attachments show the abbreviation.
  6. Click Save.
