Field Name | New Assignment Field Description |
---|---|
Delete | Used to delete an assignment or rotation inside a template. |
More | Used to control whether to show the settings below. For example, if certain fields are not used hide them to simplify the user interface. |
*Name | The name of this Assignment Template. Names are best displayed when concise, and meaningful. |
*Shift | Displays all of the shifts configured. Select a shift for the assignment. This is a required field. |
*Organization | Displays the organizational structure as configured in Setup > Organization. To show all type the percent symbol %. The minimum level a person can be Unassigned is the Region level of the organizational structure. |
Only for Days | Enables this Assignment for the selected days of the week. |
Appears on Roster | Controls whether the assignment displays on the Roster. This check box is selected by default. For additional information see Assignment Appears on the Roster Check Box topic. |
Specialty Required | Used to apply a specialty or specialties to the assignment template and control who can be assigned to this template. For example, suppose the template has a specialty requirement of language Spanish, this means if the person does not meet the specialty requirement the template cannot be applied. |
Shift Mask | Displays all of the shift masks configured. Select a shift mask when applicable to the selected Assignment. Default is <none>. |
Special Time | Special Time allows an individual to have a shift definition different from the definition of the parent shift they are a part of when it is assigned to a Person or a Position. Used for nonessential personnel only, this means personnel that is not backfilled when placed on an exception, such as Vacation, Personal Leave, Sick. For example, two people work Monday thru Friday, one person starts at 7 AM and the other person starts at 8 AM, rather than create multiple shifts which creates multiple stations on the Roster use shift times to denote the difference in time. See ‘Shift Time’ topics for additional information. |
Override Assignment Work Code On Duty | All Work Codes are displayed in the drop-down list. Select a Work Code that will override the default Work Code (from the List Plan) for this assignment; otherwise, select <none> to keep the default regular duty code. |
Overriding Assignment Work Code On Duty Detail Code | Enter a Detail Code to be used with the Work Code in the unmarked box next to the On Duty field. This code displays on the roster when the work code is used. |
Overriding Assignment Work Code Off Duty | All Work Codes are displayed in the drop-down list.Select a Work Code that will override the default Work Code (from the List Plan) for this assignment; otherwise, select <none> to keep the default overtime code. |
Label(s) | Used to add a label as set in Setup > General > Label. Labels can be used for filtering purposes. |
From | If a date is entered in this field, then the Person’s Assignment record is active on this date. Format:mm/dd/yyyy |
Through | If a date is entered in this field, then the Person’s Assignment record is active through this date. Format: mm/dd/yyyy |
Conditions | The Condition field uses a Dynamic Condition to determine when a Person's Assignment is active. This field is optional, but if there are multiple Assignments, it should be utilized. Click on the Dynamic Argument button to optionally add a Condition. |
Suppressed | Select to suppress the Assignment when a working or non-working code exists for the target person on the target date. The Suppressing exception code can be of any positive duration, however it can not be a Hidden, a Charge or a Request Work Code. |
New Rotation: Used to create an assignment rotation with assignments that automatically cycle through every X days. Assignment field descriptions above are also applicable to a Rotation.
