The Focus Menu displays for all authorized users who have the system permission setting Institution Focus: Override or Institution Focus: Scheduled into, and have institution Focus (I/F) turned on. The Focus menu allows the user to quickly switch between Scheduled Into Institution memberships.
When logging in, a user is always logging into their Home Institution. To switch the Institution Focus to any Scheduled Into institution, select an Institution from the menu box. The institutions listed depend on I/F permission setup.
This feature requires the institution Focus: Override permission to be granted. Additionally, if the user should have access to other institutions, access to those institutions must first be granted via the person > Institution tab > Scheduled Into.
The table below shows the behavior of the institution focus authority permissions when granted (X).
Scenario | I/F Override | I/F Scheduled Into | System > Auth Level > Admin |
---|---|---|---|

User has no scheduled into institutions defined in person > Institution tab and can see all institutions in focus menu. This is true until the user is limited to Scheduled Into institutions.
